A film or holo-vision director glimpsed on the job in New New York, barking orders and fussing over shots with the puffed-up self-importance the job apparently still carries a thousand years from now. He wants control of the production and total deference from everyone around him, and he expects both instantly.

Futurama's gift is populating its future with exactly the same petty archetypes we already have, just with more tentacles or trombones, and David Herman's brisk, blustery reading nails that familiar showbiz-tyrant cadence in a handful of lines. It's a small, funny jab at a very recognizable type.
