Diego Hargreeves

Diego is the one who never stopped playing hero after the family disbanded, patrolling the city in a leather harness full of throwing knives and getting himself arrested for it. He talks with a stutter that flares under pressure and a chip on his shoulder about being Number Two — always convinced he should have led the Umbrella Academy instead of his brother.

David Castañeda plays the machismo as a shield rather than a personality, so the bluster keeps cracking to show someone genuinely wounded by being overlooked as a kid. The knife-throwing is fun spectacle, but the character sticks because his need to matter is so transparent and so stubbornly, comically undignified in pursuit.
