Det. Danny Sorenson

Danny Sorenson arrives at the 15th precinct as the new detective paired with Andy Sipowicz, filling the space left by a partner everyone still mourns. He's young, watchful, and guarded, with a past he doesn't volunteer and instincts sharper than his manner suggests. He wants to be judged on his work, not his history, and mostly keeps his head down.

Rick Schroder plays him with a coiled, wary stillness that keeps you guessing what he's not saying, which matters on a show built around men who talk around their feelings instead of through them. The chemistry with Sipowicz—suspicion curdling slowly into something like trust—gives the character somewhere real to go without ever softening him into a cliché.
