Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens

Raylan Givens is a Kentucky-born U.S. Marshal shipped back to his home state after a shooting in Miami raises eyebrows. He wears a cowboy hat and a quick trigger finger like inheritances he never asked for, moving through Harlan County with lazy charm and a willingness to provoke men into drawing first.

Olyphant plays him as a gunslinger who knows he's in a Western and finds that faintly amusing, all drawl and stillness until violence arrives.
