Denver (Bull) Randleman

Bull Randleman is a sergeant in Easy Company, a big, steady Oklahoman whose calm competence makes him someone the men trust instinctively. He's not flashy or talkative—he leads by example, does the hard, unglamorous work of soldiering, and treats the younger paratroopers with a rough, protective decency.

Michael Cudlitz plays Bull as quiet strength rather than swagger, and the show is smart enough to let a supporting NCO carry real weight without a speech to announce it. He becomes the guy whose survival you're rooting for precisely because he never asks you to—competence and decency, unadorned, turn out to be riveting.
