Darryl Whitefeather

Darryl Whitefeather is Rebecca's boss at the law firm in West Covina — a divorced dad and aggressively earnest office presence who greets his new employee with too much enthusiasm and zero boundaries. He's the guy who overshares in meetings, dances without embarrassment, and just wants somebody, anybody, to be his friend.

The show could have left him as comic-relief boss filler, but it keeps handing Pete Gardner enormous, sincere feelings and letting him sing about them with total commitment. His journey toward self-acceptance runs completely earnest alongside the show's satire, and Gardner plays every beat — goofy or vulnerable — like it's the most honest thing in the room.
