Darlene Alderson

Darlene is Elliot's sister and a fellow member of fsociety, a hacker with sharp technical skill and a mouth to match. She's brash, jittery, quick to joke in tense rooms, and clearly used to being underestimated. She pushes the group toward action, needling Elliot when he hesitates, and seems to know more about their shared history than she's saying.

Chaikin plays her as someone perpetually vibrating between bravado and exhaustion, which makes her feel like the show's most honest register of what this life actually costs. The writing keeps her funny without softening her, and that refusal to make her likable in an easy way is exactly what makes her impossible to look away from.
