Daniel Roper

Daniel is Richard Roper's young son, a bright, watchful boy living amid wealth and danger he doesn't understand. He takes an immediate liking to Jonathan Pine, the new addition to his father's circle, trailing after him with the easy trust of a child who has decided someone is safe.

Noah Jupe plays Daniel with an unforced warmth that makes the character function as the story's conscience without ever being asked to carry a message. His affection for Pine complicates everything Pine is doing, turning a slick espionage plot into something with real moral weight simply by being a child who deserves better company.
