Daniel King

Daniel is Issa's ex, an aspiring music producer trying to get a career off the ground while working a day job he'd rather not talk about. He and Issa share old chemistry and unfinished business, and his reappearance in her life stirs up feelings she thought she'd settled.

Y'Lan Noel plays him with an easy, unhurried charm that makes the appeal obvious without overselling it. The show uses him less as a romantic prize than as a mirror for Issa's own stalled ambitions and old patterns, and Noel lets Daniel's pride and insecurity about his career show through the charisma.
