Dani Clayton

Dani Clayton arrives at Bly Manor from America to take a position as au pair to two recently orphaned children, Miles and Flora. She's warm, capable, and quick with a reassuring smile, determined to give the kids stability. She's also clearly running from something back home she won't discuss.

Victoria Pedretti plays Dani's brightness as armor — a smile she puts on like a uniform, cheerful and a little too fast to reassure everyone that she's fine. The show lets you feel the effort underneath it before it tells you why, and that gap between performance and person is what makes her so quietly devastating to watch.
