Cyril Figgis

Cyril Figgis is the comptroller at ISIS, a buttoned-up accountant thrust into the field alongside spies who treat him with open contempt. He's anxious, rule-bound, and desperate for respect he never quite gets, forever trying to prove he belongs among people who consider him a punchline.

Chris Parnell plays him with a nasally, put-upon exasperation that turns every humiliation into a small comic aria. Cyril is the show's designated normal person, which means he absorbs the fallout of everyone else's chaos — and his slow-burn resentment and occasional flashes of backbone make his misery reliably, specifically funny.
