Cynthia

Cynthia is Tracey's older sister on their rundown London estate, a devout member of the family's strict evangelical church and, at first glance, the good daughter — pious, rule-bound, quick to judge, and determined to keep the household in line with God's expectations rather than the world's temptations.

Susan Wokoma plays Cynthia's righteousness with such clenched conviction that the cracks underneath become funnier and sadder with every episode. The show never mocks faith outright; it lets Cynthia's certainty curdle into something more complicated, and Wokoma's deadpan control makes her the sharpest comic instrument in a very loud family.
