Cylon

Cylon turns up as one of the countless background robots crowding the edges of Futurama's New New York, a nod-and-a-wink cameo more than a character with a plotline. It exists mostly for the joke of its name, a passing citizen of a city built on parody and clutter.

The gag is the point: Futurama loves stuffing its frames with sight jokes and throwaway references, and Maurice LaMarche's flexible, cartoon-elastic voice work is exactly the kind of texture that makes those blink-and-miss-it bits land. It's a small proof of how densely the show rewards rewatching.
