Crazed Fan

A rabid devotee of Fry, this shrieking superfan turns up wherever a crowd needs someone hysterical to fixate on him, gushing obsessive devotion one moment and threatening bodily harm the next. Gender and target barely matter — what matters is the pitch of the adoration, cranked past reason into something feral and a little dangerous.

Tress MacNeille throws the voice into full shriek-mode, and the joke is entirely in the whiplash: worship curdling into violence in the space of one sentence. It's a one-note gag, but the note is so unhinged and so precisely timed that the character becomes a reliable, quotable jolt of chaos whenever the show needs one.
