Craterface

Craterface turns up as one of the countless background oddities that populate Futurama's crowded future-Earth — a name more than a fully drawn figure, glimpsed in passing rather than given a mission or an arc. Whatever scene finds them, they behave like everyone else in that world: matter-of-fact about the absurd.

The pleasure here is Tress MacNeille's range rather than the character's depth — a single line reading, tucked into a show built on hundreds of them, that rewards attentive rewatching. Futurama's world feels dense because of throwaway names like this one, voiced with the same commitment as any lead.
