Corpse Flower

Corpse Flower turns up as one of Futurama's countless background oddities—a plant with a name that promises rot and menace, dropped into New New York's crowded, absurd ecosystem without explanation. Like so much of the show's scenery, it simply exists, blooming into a scene for a moment before the story moves past it.

Tress MacNeille is one of the show's great utility players, and a joke like this depends entirely on commitment: giving a rotting flower a voice and a personality rather than treating it as a throwaway.
