Cook

Cook is a minor figure glimpsed in passing rather than a character built for the long haul, one of the many odd faces that populate the fringes of the Futurama universe. He does his job, says his lines, and moves the scene along without asking for the spotlight.

The pleasure here is in the show's density rather than in Cook himself: Futurama fills its background with fully voiced, fully realized nobodies, and David Herman's flat, competent delivery is exactly the kind of texture that makes the world feel inhabited rather than staged.
