The Contrabulous Choosmatron is a towering, self-important machine that Professor Farnsworth wheels out to explore the road not taken — showing what might have happened if a single choice had gone differently. It speaks with theatrical relish, correcting anyone who mangles its name, more interested in its own grandeur than in the story it's supposed to be telling.

Phil LaMarr gives a hunk of sci-fi hardware more vanity than half the cast, turning a plot device into a diva who keeps hijacking its own demonstration. The joke is structural: a machine built to serve the narrative instead competes with it, and LaMarr's delivery makes that ego feel entirely earned rather than tacked on.
