Connie is the Hormone Monstress who barrels into puberty-stricken kids' lives to stoke their worst impulses and loudest feelings. Loud, filthy, and gleefully unbothered, she treats desire and chaos as her job description, egging on whoever she's assigned with the enthusiasm of someone who genuinely loves her work.
Maya Rudolph plays her with total commitment to the bit — no embarrassment, no apology, just pure appetite delivered in a voice that can turn from cackling filth to weirdly tender pep talk in one breath. The show uses her as its id, and Rudolph makes that id enormously, specifically funny rather than generic.
Constance "Connie Lingus" LaCienega the Hormone Monstress is a female hormone monster, who helps girls (mostly) go through puberty. She works as Jessi's (and briefly Nick's) hormone monstress and serves as a foil to Maury, who she has an on & off sexual relationship with (as well as a child). She embodies the part in many women's mind yearning for independence, glamour, and sexiness.
