Colin Crowley

Colin Crowley turns up early in Rebecca's West Covina life as a rebound date, a hipster mixologist so committed to irony that sincerity seems to embarrass him. He talks in scare quotes, treats everything as a bit, and clearly wants Rebecca to find him effortlessly cool rather than actually be present with her.

He's a small, sharp joke about a certain kind of guy, and the show doesn't overextend him past that: he exists to be punctured. Vincent Rodriguez III (better known elsewhere in the cast) leans into the character's self-satisfaction just enough that his eventual deflation feels earned rather than cruel.
