Coffee Machine

A humble appliance in the Planet Express break room, the Coffee Machine exists to dispense caffeine and, on occasion, opinions nobody asked for. It behaves like any office fixture that has quietly overheard too much: helpful, a little put-upon, and prone to chiming in when the plot least expects a kitchen appliance to talk.

Futurama's genius is treating background objects as citizens of its universe, and Billy West's vocal elasticity turns a coffee machine into a fully formed personality without ever making it precious. The joke lands because the show commits completely — for one scene, this thing has feelings, and West voices it exactly as sincerely as he would Fry.
