Cnut

Cnut is a young Danish nobleman, hot-blooded and proud, hungry for glory in a land he means to conquer. He arrives among the pagan armies pressing into Wessex with the swagger of someone who has never had to doubt his own destiny, quick to take offence and quicker to reach for a sword.

Magnus Bruun plays him with a coiled, boyish arrogance that makes his scenes crackle — you can see the entitlement of a man raised to expect victory, and the flashes of temper underneath it. The show uses him to needle Uhtred's divided loyalties, and Bruun keeps him dangerous without ever making him dull.
