Clyde Pickett

Clyde Pickett turns up in Neptune as a smooth, unbothered professional—an investigator-for-hire who does dirty work with the calm of a man clocking out at five. He's polite, efficient, and utterly untroubled by whose interests he's serving, which makes him hard to read and harder to trust.

Simmons plays him without a flicker of menace on the surface, which is exactly what makes him unsettling—he's affable where the show's villains are usually theatrical. The writing keeps his loyalties opaque just long enough that every scene with him feels like a held breath, and Simmons's easy charm does the rest.
