He's the night clerk at Applied Cryogenics, a jittery, sniveling little man half-asleep at his post when Fry wanders in on New Year's Eve 1999. He barely registers Fry's presence, more concerned with his crossword and his own nerves, right up until a startled jump changes everything for the next thousand years.

He's on screen for maybe thirty seconds, but Billy West gives him a whole nasal, twitchy personality in that time, the kind of background bureaucrat who becomes the accidental engine of the entire series. It's a perfect Futurama joke: the universe turns on someone this forgettable.
