Clark Green shows up at Dunder Mifflin as a young temp turned salesman, eager to prove himself and quick to attach himself to whoever holds power in the office — first Dwight, then anyone else who might get him ahead. He's cocky, a little green, and always angling for an edge.

Clark Duke plays him with a puppyish self-regard that's funny precisely because the character has no idea how transparent his ambition is. He's a fresh jolt of energy in the show's later seasons, a reminder that the Scranton branch still produces new strivers even as the old ones wind down.
