Clarissa Mao

Clarissa Mao first appears on Ceres Station as "Melba Koh," a soft-spoken engineering tech with a menial job and a spotless cover story. Underneath the deference is a woman executing a long-planned scheme against James Holden, driven by loyalty to her disgraced family name and a cold, patient fury she keeps entirely hidden.

Nadine Nicole plays her as two people at once: the meek, apologetic worker the station sees, and the calculating operative underneath, with barely a flicker betraying the seam between them. The writing resists making her a simple villain, and Nicole's control—the stillness, the careful voice—makes you lean in to find out who she actually is.
