Clarence 'Clay' Morrow

Clay Morrow runs the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club with a gavel and an iron grip, the aging president who built the charter's gunrunning trade and married the club's founding matriarch, Gemma. He talks fatherhood and brotherhood in the same breath as violence, and expects loyalty as tribute, especially from his stepson Jax.

Ron Perlman plays Clay as a bear who still moves like the young outlaw he once was, all gravel voice and sudden menace under a genial club-president smile. The writing hands him real stature — he's earned his throne — which makes every choice to protect it, rather than the family he claims to love, land harder.
