Ciaran turns up on the edges of the girls' world in Derry Girls, the kind of young man who gets swept into their schemes without ever quite understanding how he got there. He is affable, a little hapless, and easily outmanoeuvred by whichever member of the gang has decided to use him.

Jamie Beamish plays him with a bemused, good-natured patience that makes him a perfect foil for the sharper personalities around him. The comedy comes from watching someone so mild get pulled into chaos he never signed up for, reacting with the weary confusion of a man who has learned not to ask questions.
