Chud

Chud is one of New New York's everyday faces, a small pink alien who turns up in crowds, courtrooms, bars and city council meetings without ever being the point of the scene. He has opinions, a voice, and no particular stake in being anyone special — he is simply always there.

Futurama's background world is as funny as its foreground, and Chud is proof: a nothing character given just enough personality by Billy West's delivery that his stray line lands harder than it should. He works because the show trusts a running gag over a full arc, and lets you notice him.
