Chris Travers

Chris Travers turns up as one of the many faces passing through Futurama's twisted future New New York—a minor presence glimpsed rather than dwelt on, sketched in with a line or two rather than a full arc. He exists at the edges of the frame, doing whatever small task the scene requires before the show moves on.

Phil LaMarr is one of animation's great utility players, and Futurama leans on that gift constantly: a voice dropped in for a scene, shaped just enough to feel like a real person rather than filler. The pleasure is in the texture he adds to a crowded, chaotic world without ever needing the spotlight.
