Character

Choso

Choso in Jujutsu Kaisen (2020), played by Daisuke Namikawa.

Choso enters as a curse born from human wombs, a blood-manipulating fighter deployed against Yuji Itadori during the Shibuya chaos. He is quiet, deadly serious, and unnervingly literal about human customs, having spent his existence isolated from ordinary people. His devotion to his two brothers defines him more than anything he says.

He could have been a straightforward villain, but the writing keeps undercutting his menace with a kind of solemn confusion about the human world he's never had to navigate. Namikawa plays him utterly deadpan, so the moments where his rigid worldview cracks land with real tenderness instead of comedy.

Choso (脹 (ちょう) 相 (そう) , Chōsō) is a supporting character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He and his two brothers, Kechizu and Eso are incarnated Cursed Womb: Death Paintings No. 1-3. Choso initially sided with Kenjaku's alliance with Mahito until he discovered one of the curse user's past identities was the cruel father of the Death Painting Wombs, Noritoshi Kamo.
