Chinese Boy

A minor figure glimpsed in the sprawling future-world of Futurama, this character appears briefly without the show pausing to explain much about him. He exists mostly as background texture in New New York's crowded, absurd future — one more face in a city built on sight gags and quick, disposable jokes.

The character is less the point than the voice behind him: Lauren Tom, already doing heavy lifting elsewhere in the cast, slips into the role with the same unfussy comic precision she brings everywhere. It's a small piece of the show's larger trick — a universe so dense with incidental voices that even a passing figure gets treated with real craft.
