Chief Hyne

Chief Hyne runs corporate security for Preox-Morlana, a company man more concerned with paperwork and appearances than justice. When his overzealous subordinate Syril Karn goes chasing a fugitive without authorization, Hyne is furious less about the dead men than about the mess it makes for the company.

Vansittart plays him as pure institutional self-preservation, a small tyrant terrified of scrutiny from above. It's a brief role, but it sets the show's tone early: the galaxy's evils start not with grand villains but with petty officials protecting their budgets and their reputations.
