Cheryl Mullens turns up in Schitt's Creek as one of the town's background faces, the kind of small-town local who slips in and out of the Roses' orbit without ever needing an introduction. She carries herself like someone who has always lived here and always will, unbothered by the family's culture shock.

Laura Soltis plays her with the dry, unhurried ease that the show's best townsfolk share, letting a minor part land its laughs through timing rather than incident. She fits into Schitt's Creek's larger joke: that the town's ordinary residents are far more comfortable in their own skin than its famous new arrivals.
