Cheese

Cheese is the youngest and quietest of the four friends on the rez, tagging along on their small-time hustles with a placid, watchful calm. He rarely raises his voice, notices things the others miss, and seems to be along for the ride even as he quietly holds the group together.

Lane Factor plays him with an almost eerie stillness, letting silence and a deadpan half-smile do the work other teen characters would spend in dialogue. The writing trusts that restraint, giving Cheese odd, tender asides — about birds, about elders, about whatever he's noticed — that make him feel like the show's quiet moral center without ever announcing it.
