Charlotte Byrde

Charlotte Byrde is the Byrdes' teenage daughter, wrenched out of her Chicago life and dumped in the Ozarks with no explanation that makes sense. She rolls her eyes at her parents' lies, covers for her younger brother Jonah, and mostly just wants out — of the lake, the secrets, and the family pretending everything is fine.

Sofia Hublitz plays the ordinary teenager stuck inside an extraordinary crime story, and that friction is the point — her exasperation reads as sane in a house full of people rationalizing the unforgivable. She's given real agency early, not just reaction shots, and Hublitz makes Charlotte's hardening feel earned rather than written in.
