Charlie Pace

Charlie Pace is the bassist for Drive Shaft, a one-hit rock band already past its peak, and he survives the crash clutching a case that turns out to hold his last stash of heroin. Boyish, funny, and quietly desperate, he wants relevance and rescue in equal measure, and hides an addiction he insists he's beaten.

Dominic Monaghan plays Charlie's charm as a defense mechanism, all quips and puppyish eagerness covering real shame, so the addiction plot never feels like an issue-of-the-week detour. He's the survivor least equipped for the island and most eager to prove otherwise, which makes his small victories land far harder than they should.
