Charles Xavier

In Legion's flashbacks, we meet a much younger Charles Xavier than the wheelchair-bound legend of other stories — a bright, restless researcher fascinated by minds unlike his own. He is warm, curious, a little reckless with his own gifts, drawn to study and befriend the extraordinary people he encounters rather than keep a professional distance.

Harry Lloyd plays him without any of the gravitas we associate with Professor X, and that absence is the point: this is Xavier before the wheelchair, before the myth, still learning what his powers cost other people. Lloyd gives him boyish charm and genuine tenderness, letting us see the seeds of the man he'll become without ever imitating him.
