Charles Guise

Charles Guise is a cardinal of the House of Lorraine, and the Church is only ever half his vocation. He moves through the French court as a Guise first and a clergyman second, reading every alliance and slight for what it might cost or win his family. Charm and menace sit close together in him.

Ray Panthaki plays him with a courtier's smoothness that never quite hides the calculation underneath, so every kind word from Charles feels like it's being spent rather than given.
