Chainsaw-Eating Robot

A robot built for spectacle rather than subtlety, this one earns its name by literally devouring chainsaws in front of a crowd, chewing through blades like a carnival stunt. It exists to be loud, dangerous-looking, and gone in a blink — a background marvel rather than a character with plans.

Futurama's genius is in throwaway world-building, and this is a pure example: one absurd visual gag, fully committed to, voiced with Maurice LaMarche's typical gravelly bravado. It never needs more than a few seconds to land, and that restraint is exactly the joke.
