Centipede Alien's Wife

She appears as exactly what her name promises: the spouse of a centipede-like alien, a background figure in one of Futurama's crowded, joke-a-second alien tableaux. She exists for a moment, reacts to whatever chaos is unfolding around her, and vanishes back into the show's teeming universe of one-off extraterrestrials.

The pleasure here is craft rather than character arc: Tress MacNeille, one of animation's great utility voices, gives even a nameless one-line alien spouse a distinct texture and comic timing. Futurama thrives on these throwaway inhabitants of its universe, and her brief presence is part of what makes the show's background feel alive and endlessly inventive.
