Centipede is one of the countless one-off creatures populating the far future of Futurama, a brief, strange presence rather than a recurring face. Voiced with typical Futurama commitment, the character exists mostly to serve a single joke or moment before vanishing back into the show's crowded, absurdist universe.

The pleasure here is Maurice LaMarche's range on full display — a performer capable of giving even a fleeting, background creature real comic texture and commitment.
