Cary Conrad turns up in Joe's new Los Angeles orbit as one of Forty's wellness-obsessed friends — a jacked, sunny devotee of cold plunges, primal screams, and biohacking who treats self-optimization like a religion. He's friendly, loud, and utterly sincere about his rituals, welcoming Joe into a world of expensive retreats and rooftop workouts he clearly believes will fix anyone.

Travis Van Winkle plays him with total conviction, which is the joke and the appeal — Cary never winks at how absurd his wellness-bro certainties sound. The writing uses him as a satire of LA self-improvement culture, but he's likable enough, generous enough, that he never curdles into pure punchline. He's funny because he means every word of it.
