Caroline Ellis

Caroline Ellis moves through the tidy, self-satisfied world of Shaker Heights as one of Elena Richardson's social circle — polished, watchful, and fluent in the unspoken rules of the neighborhood. She trades in gossip and good manners in equal measure, more interested in appearances holding steady than in questioning what lies beneath them.

Jessica Tuck plays her with the easy, practiced warmth of someone who has never had to examine her own comfort, which is exactly the point. She's a small piece of the show's larger portrait of suburban complacency, and Tuck lets the character's pleasantness curdle just enough to reveal how much cruelty good manners can quietly contain.
