Carnivulon

Carnivulon appears as one of Futurama's countless bizarre extraterrestrials, a strange and menacing-looking creature that turns up amid the show's parade of one-off aliens and monsters. Little about it is explained beyond its unsettling presence, in keeping with the show's habit of tossing off elaborate creature designs for a single joke or scene.

The character works the way so many of Futurama's blink-and-miss-it aliens do: through Maurice LaMarche's booming, theatrical delivery, which he brings to dozens of the show's minor voices. He can make even a barely-there creature sound like it belongs in a much bigger story, which is part of the show's dense, generous comic texture.
