Captain Megameat commands attention the moment he's on screen, a blustery, oversized figure who talks like the situation is already under control even when it plainly isn't. He barks orders, strikes poses, and treats whatever ship or crew he's attached to as an extension of his own outsized ego.

Maurice LaMarche has built a career voicing exactly this kind of thundering, self-important blowhard, and he leans into every syllable of it here. The joke isn't the character's competence — it's the gap between how seriously he takes himself and how little anyone around him does.
