Captain Lando Tucker

Captain Lando Tucker turns up as one of the countless background officers and authority figures who drift through Futurama's universe of space bureaucracy — brisk, no-nonsense, and entirely unbothered by the absurdity surrounding him. He gives orders, expects them followed, and treats even the strangest situations as routine business.

David Herman, who voices several of the show's gruffer minor players, gives Tucker the flat, authoritative delivery of a man who has seen too much cosmic nonsense to be surprised by any more of it. It's a small role, but that deadpan commitment to procedure amid chaos is exactly the joke Futurama tells best.
