Captain Ahab

A grizzled, peg-legged ship's captain obsessed with hunting a single, near-mythical creature, Ahab commandeers whoever crosses his path into his pursuit. He's monomaniacal and theatrical, speaking in thundering nautical bombast, treating the hunt as destiny rather than a job, and brushing off anyone who questions whether the whale is worth the trouble.

The joke is the flattest possible parody of Melville dropped into space with zero apology, and John DiMaggio plays the grandiosity completely straight, all gravel and doom, so the absurdity of a whaling captain in a rocket ship lands harder. It's a one-note bit that works because the note is hit with total commitment.
