Travis Oliver plays the surface of military correctness so precisely that the gaps in it become interesting — a hesitation before an order, a flicker of feeling he won't name. The writing gives him formality as armour, and the performance keeps hinting at what the armour is for, which is enough to make you want to keep watching him.
