Cady Longmire

Walt Longmire's grown daughter and a defense attorney in the same small Wyoming county her father polices, Cady is smart, guarded, and still raw from her mother's recent death. She loves her father fiercely but chafes against his instinct to shelter her, and she's determined to build her own footing separate from his badge.

Freeman plays her as someone holding it together through sheer will, which makes the cracks — grief, anger at Walt's silences, flashes of recklessness — land harder. The show uses her legal career to put her professionally at odds with her father's cases, a tension that's more interesting than simple daughterly devotion.
